Atonomo launches Statsig integration

Starting today, customers using Statsig for product analytics and experimentation can onboard to Atonomo

Atonomo now connects directly to Statsig when pulling product analytics data and running experiments.

Statsig is generally considered the most advanced experimentation platform, with multi-armed bandits (they call it "autotune") and thorough CUPED support (for reaching statistical significance faster). This is our second product analytics integration, after PostHog.

Connecting Atonomo to Statsig's API

Statsig's Console API lets the Atonomo agent pull and understand customer behavior to suggest high quality product improvements. In the Atonomo onboarding flow, you can simply create a new Console API Key and paste it in, and Atonomo will analyze your product for conversion bottlenecks and retention opportunities.

Choosing between Statsig and PostHog

When we talk to founders and product engineers, we think there are three main factors to think about when choosing between these two platforms:

  1. Statsig was recently acquired by OpenAI
  2. Statsig has more advanced experimentation features
  3. PostHog has a more product surface area, like error tracking and LLM analytics

Generally, early-stage founders choose PostHog because there's little need for CUPED or multi-armed bandits when a product is in its infancy, but they can use PostHog's other products in one suite to reduce the total number of SaaS subscriptions they have.

It's too early to tell if the OpenAI acquisition will negatively affect Statsig's shipping cadence, but I have a hard time believing OpenAI bought Statsig to dominate the experimentation market (just my opinion).
